SCATTERED GROUPs

small communities of believers committed to following jesus.

Practically, they look like a group of people gathered together in homes and parts of our city to break bread, engage in honest conversation, explore scripture, pray and share the good news of the gospel with each other and our city.

Commitments

Each Scattered Group looks and operates a bit different than the next, and that’s what we love -- the unique way in which the Holy Spirit leads each group to a different and beautiful expression of what it means to scatter. While all groups include biblical study some have an additional mission toward bringing the gospel to a specific brokenness or need (i.e. caring for foster families, serving the westside, etc). However, they all share the same basic commitments:

1. PRAYER

Led in and by prayer; in constant communication with the Father. Groups open and close their time together in prayer.

2. SCRIPTURE

Rooted in and guided by scripture as the source of truth and wisdom. Groups might chose to follow our curriculum, or they might examine scripture from a recent sermon, or they might decide together to read and discuss a particular passage.

3. LIFE TOGETHER

Fully invested in walking alongside one another to grow as and make disciples. We meet regularly, share our lives, break bread, and love as Jesus commanded. From simple tactics deep relationships flower.

initiate or Participate?

Life lived together is richer, happier, and more satisfying! Simply put, life was never meant to be done alone. In a world plagued with loneliness, we see how God invites his church into intimate relationship and community through Jesus. Scattered Groups stand in the gap of isolation by being Trinity Mission Church’s primary form of connection.

In Scattered Groups you find fellow disciples who want to celebrate life’s joys as well as shoulder life’s burdens, you find people to encourage and hold you accountable, you find people to learn from, and you find people who desperately want to be the church not just on Sundays but all week long.

Scattered Groups are where you are known. Scattered Groups are where you grow more intimate with Jesus. Scattered Groups are where you step into God’s mission to bring healing to the broken parts of our body, community, and world.

The question is: do you want to participate in an existing group or are you stirred to initiate your own?
